The Kids Playing Outside with Puppies

Today was a fairly warm day and the kids wanted to take the dogs outside to play. As soon as they sat Rufus down he was running everywhere. The kids had a good time trying to catch him. Henry just watched for alittle while, then he joined in on the fun. This is a picture of Elizabeth, Alyssa, and Justin taking a break with Rufus and Henry.

The dogs sleeping together on the couch. They are getting along better now. Henry thinks he is bigger and older and bosses Rufus around, but they do play well together.

Rufus Loves Henry

Rufus loves Henry and wants to play with him all the time. I don't know if Henry feels the same way about Rufus yet. They share the same bed. They are so cute when they sleep. We are teaching them fetch. Rufus absolutely loves it. Henry hasn't got it yet.

Henry's Here

Finally he's here!!! Rufus has tortured Henry for about an hour now. He is now sitting on my lap. Henry is six weeks old. Rufus is nine weeks old now. He has become very playful. He really wants to play with little Henry, but Henry is not having it. I'm sure by the end of the week they'll be bestfriends...

Happy Easter!!!

It's Easter, and Rufus had a good day! He played outside and had an Easter egg hunt. He really didn't, but we'll just say he did. The eggs in the picture are what he may have found if he really went on a hunt. He did get some puppy treats for Easter from Walmart. Also the poodle dog toy you see sitting by him. It is now his girlfriend. He had a really good Easter dinner--a can of puppy food. He loved it. It was turkey flavored. OH..I forgot...during the Easter egg hunt, he caught a glimpse of the Easter Bunny, and chased him off. (since we already know there was no egg hunt..there was no Easter Bunny either). Thats all for now...tomorrow ..I hope we can put up a picture of Henry, the brother of Rufus!!

Vet and Groomer Visit

Today we took Rufus to the vet early in the morning. He had a shot and did very good. He didn't even squirm at all. He seemed to like it there on the examining table. The vet said he is doing very good. After the vet, we had to go to work for a while. When we got home we took Rufus to his Aunt Becky's house to get a haircut. At Becky's house, there are lots of dogs and cats that he played with. He really liked Kay-Cee, a Yorkshire Terrier. He didn't seem to really mind getting his haircut at all. He let Becky do her thing and he came out very cute!

This is a short video of Rufus playing with his favorite toy. Rufus is going to be groomed tomorrow. It will be his first time. Don't worry there will be pictures. Today we got an e-mail from Rufus' breeder that we can not pick up Henry until Monday. We are very disappointed by this news. We can't wait to get him. Amy has already bought his first outfit. Kids Outside With Rufus

We have been trying to teach Rufus some tricks. He is doing well in shaking your hand on command. He is not doing so well at the poop on command though. Today was a nice warm day so we decided to take a picture outside with all the kids, Alyssa, Justin, Elizabeth, and Rufus. They are out there playing now. Rufus is playing with his new toy, a loofa toy, which he loves. It is about 2 times as big as him. He drags it around everywhere. I think for tomorrow we are going to take a picture with one of his shirts on, so look forward to that. Thats it for today!!

Meet Rufus!

This is our new Toy Poodle, Rufus. He was born on January 16, 2008, in Seymour TN. Keep watching this blog, because we are putting a new picture of him on everyday, so you (if anyone is actually viewing this) can watch him grow up.



We are in the process of housetraining him. So far he is doing ok. No accidents today that we know of..lol. We built him a potty/exercise pen in the back yard yesterday. This helps us with it and keeps the little gifts out of our yard. Amy is spoiling him with the toys she keeps buying him..and clothes. I have bought him a few too.



Rufus's brother is coming to live with us on Saturday. So we will put him (Henry) on here too. He is a darker color which is an apricot color. Rufus is cream color.
